Vinosha is the founder and principal lawyer of Theva Law Professional Corporation, a boutique firm focused on real estate, wills and estates, business, and family law. With over a decade of legal experience, she is known for combining practical legal guidance with a thoughtful, client-centered approach.

‍

Beyond her practice, Vinosha is passionate about mentorship, community leadership, and empowering the next generation. She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Tamil Bar Association, is a member of the Women’s Committee of the Canadian Tamil Chamber of Commerce, and contributes her time to community initiatives through C3 Church.

‍

Trusting Your Instincts and Staying the Course

Like many professionals building their careers, Vinosha understands that success often comes from persistence through the challenging moments. Looking back, the advice she would give her younger self is rooted in trusting her instincts and continuing forward, even when things feel difficult.

‍

As she puts it, “Hard work truly compounds.”

‍

The late nights, sacrifices, and persistence eventually build into something meaningful. For Vinosha, the journey has always been about more than personal success. As she explains, “The wins aren’t just personal, there are younger girls watching and learning what’s possible.”

‍

She believes that when women pursue their ambitions and continue pushing forward, they help create a path for the next generation to follow.

‍

Inspired by Advocacy and Representation

For Vinosha, the decision to pursue law was deeply connected to her passion for advocacy. Even from a young age, she was known for speaking up and standing up for others.

‍

Advocacy has always been part of who she is, and it naturally led her toward a profession where knowledge and advocacy can make a real difference in people’s lives. Helping individuals navigate complex and sometimes stressful legal situations continues to be one of the most meaningful aspects of her work.

‍

Her inspiration was also shaped by personal experience. Growing up, she witnessed her parents face legal challenges while navigating language barriers and limited representation. Those moments left a lasting impression and strengthened her desire to create a practice where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered.

‍

As Vinosha explains, those experiences motivated her not only to pursue law, but also to “take up space in an industry that is still largely male dominated and predominantly white,” and to build a practice where people feel represented and supported.

‍

Staying Grounded in Purpose

Through the many demands of legal practice and leadership, Vinosha draws strength from faith. As she shares, “I find a lot of inspiration and strength in the Bible.”

‍‍

Verses such as Romans 8:38–39, Proverbs 31:8–9, and Proverbs 16:3 continue to inspire and ground her. These reminders guide her work and help keep her focused on purpose, service, and leadership within both the legal profession and her community.
